We had an amazing day out on the water at Musselburgh Lagoons as part of our Summer Activity Programme. We canoed (with the ones we built 5 years ago), paddle boarded, kayaked and just floated In the water, played with water guns, magnet fished ( I think we found an arrow head), played football and rugby. Thank you to Keith Reynolds for transporting our canoes and kayak, and to our friend Stevie Nelson at Beyond Boundaries East Lothian for the loan of the trailer and the buoyancy jackets.
A lovely relaxed morning bring fathers, male carers, grandads and their children together to have fun, lots of support for each other and lots of laughter. Thank you to our helpers Jared on and Nathan for their support of being in the water and our summer childcare placement Eilidh who entertained the children out of the water and to everyone who came along and made this an amazing day. The weather wasn’t looking kind to us due to the wind, but we managed and got on with it. Thank you to our friends at Home Start- East Lothian for the snacks. A huge thank you to ASHEKENT for financially supporting our Summer Programme. As part of our Fathers Project ( watch this space for about this project) with Fathers Network Scotland we had the pleasure of having photographer Eoin Carey along capturing moments of beauty with dads and their children as we got on with our activity. https://www.facebook.com/share/wPrfCGDCBQgsM9PG/
