DadsWork SCIO lost a great gentleman and dad Sean Crawford earlier this year, this was a surprise, everyone who knew him had wonderful stories of kindness and laughter. We met Sean around Covid 19 lockdown, when we responded to helping out to replace a broken hoover. This was the start of our support and wonderful journey together. Sean regularly attended our groups and events, he was always funny, kind and helpful, always looking out for others. Sean enjoyed many activities with his lovely daughter Layla and had so much fun together. Sean wanted to help more and joined our Management Committee where he always wanted the best for fathers and ensuring they had the best support. He later joined the Pennypit Community Development Trust supporting others at the Pantry, looking out for others and sharing his wonderful sense of humour and wit. Sean Crawford, You Legend – YWNA 
As Sean worked to change his lifestyle he met a wonderful Personal Trainer Nick Hannah who was supporting Sean.
Nick in honour of Sean, raising awareness of both physical and mental health is taking on a mammoth task Tyne to Tartan 100 Miler of running from Northumberland on Saturday 2nd November, starting with the Newbigging by the Sea Park Run then amazingly run the Northumberland Coast to East Lothian and then running the Meadowmill Park Run on Saturday 9th November, where Sean played football as a youth. This run will complete 100 miles. As a celebration to Nick for completing this amazing task we are looking to remember our friend Sean by asking if anyone who knew Sean would like to take part in the Meadowmill Park Run https://www.parkrun.org.uk/meadowmill on Sat 9th November 2024, you don’t need to sign up, you can walk or run, its your choice.
